The Winnipeg-based production company receives its first accolades in two categories at the prestigious international video and television competition.

Winnipeg, Manitoba, May 20, 2025 — Film and video production studio CoPilot Co. earned their first (and second) Telly Award with “Reflections,” a short brand film produced in partnership with The Dream Factory. The film took home Silver in two categories at the prestigious international video and television competition: General - Not-for-Profit and General - Fundraising & Appeals.

“Reflections” was chosen as a front runner among 13,000 other entries from around the world for this distinction.

“This was a rare opportunity for CoPilot to mix our commercial work with our love for narrative filmmaking,” said Jordan Johnsen, director of “Reflections” and creative director at CoPilot. “We’re beyond honoured to have our work recognized alongside some of the industry’s best work.”

The Dream Factory partnered with CoPilot on this project to highlight the relaunch of their brand and re-introduce how the Manitoba community understands the work they do for kids battling life-threatening illnesses and their families. “Reflections” follows a family’s experience with the not-for-profit, illustrating the hope and warmth that The Dream Factory brings to their communities.

Each creative decision by the CoPilot team, from script writing and development, to on-set production and post-production editing, was carefully made to harness the full potential of visual storytelling to connect with audiences and make an impact.

“The CoPilot team not only demonstrated an exceptional amount of care for our kids, families, and stories; but also helped us show - for the first time - how the Dream Factory is showing up to support Manitoba families in a meaningful, day to day way,” said Andrew Kussy, executive director at The Dream Factory in a LinkedIn post

The Dream Factory has been a close partner of CoPilot since 2017.

“We’ve grown alongside each other, always looking for meaningful ways to offer support and help share their incredible work with the community,” said Reid Valmestad, co-founder of CoPilot.
